CHARLESON ANDRADA

I’ve always enjoyed making things. From learning how to cook at the age of six years old to picking up a camera, throwing ceramics, and eventually building marketing campaigns, I’ve always been drawn to turning an idea into something tangible. Looking back, those interests weren’t random. They were different ways of learning, experimenting, and telling stories.

Growing up in Milpitas, California, curiosity usually meant trying something new and figuring out how it worked. That mindset followed me to San José State University, where one idea stuck with me: marketing is everywhere. It’s how people experience a brand, product, business, or even a person. Joining the Marketing Association introduced me to content marketing, SEO, videography, and digital strategy, and I became fascinated by the intersection of creativity and data.

After graduating in 2023, I joined ZEDEDA, a B2B technology company where I was introduced to edge computing, cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, and enterprise software. Learning to market technology I initially knew little about taught me how rewarding it can be to make complex ideas understandable. I worked across content, social media, SEO, email, analytics, and campaigns, including supporting KubeCon + CloudNativeCon in Chicago.

Outside of work, I’ve continued looking for creative projects. One of my favorites was helping friends with their Filipino-Korean-Mexican fusion food truck, Mestizo. Some days I was prepping ingredients or running the fryer; others I was behind the camera creating content that showcased the food and people behind it. It reinforced something I’ve carried into my work: every business has a story worth telling.

I later brought that mindset to Klara Inc., working with technical topics across FreeBSD, OpenZFS, storage, and infrastructure. From optimizing articles for search and managing social media to editing webinars and creating content, I’ve continued learning how to translate specialized knowledge into something useful and accessible.

That’s what keeps me interested in marketing. Technology changes, search evolves, AI reshapes discovery, and there’s always another problem to solve. Away from my desk, you’ll usually find me lifting weights, cooking, trying new food, or carrying a camera. Whether I’m optimizing an article, producing a video, photographing a restaurant, or planning a campaign, the goal is ultimately the same: create something meaningful that helps people connect, learn, or discover something new.
